Hello,

I have created my new hackintosh, but the problem is most geekbench 5 scores are around 12000 on multi core and I am only getting around 10k. (see attachment) or url (https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/1679389)

My PC:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x
Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus
RAM: ADATA 16 GB DDR4-3200 (Running at 3200 mhz )
Temporary GPU: gt 630 (I still need to buy a new one)

My EFI:

I am in a similar situation.

My build:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15 (Running at 3000 MHz )
GPU: XFX RX5500 XT

Richard.ringia, did Apophis's suggestion work for you?

You can also install the SMCAMDProcessor kext and AMD Power Gadget to see if the CPU clocks right and boost is enabled.

Send me an IO registry output and a copy of your EFI and ill see if i can help :)

Try adding the attached SSDT into OC/ACPI of your EFI. This should add plugintype=1 to your CPU. The rest of your EFI and Config looks alright. Theres some random "cosmetic" changes that could be made but nothing that changes performance. What GPU are you currently using? If you can send me an ACPI output of your machine.

I encountered the same problem on my R9 3950X, and I solved it by disabling "AMD Cool & Quiet" function in BIOS.
This allowed my CPU to run higher boost clocks up to 4,7 Ghz (highest default boost on my CPU) instead of 4,3Ghz before.
I gained about 1200 Geekbench 5 points from 12400 pts to 13600 pts.

Hope that helps,

I added the SSDT file you sent me, but unfortunately, I am getting worse scores after. My single score stayed the same as usual, but my multi core score took a roughly 400 point hit. I ran the test twice and got the same results twice. I'm not quite sure what an api output is. Is that the .txt file that is created after every boot? If so, I have added the one created during the reboot right after I added the SSDT file you sent me to my ACPI folder. It looks like I can't attach .txt files, so I uploaded it to the dropbox link I sent you yesterday.

I am running an XFX RX 5500 XT graphics card. I have heard that Ryzen CPUs run better when you have faster ram. Currently, I am running 16 GBs of Corsair LPX 3000Mhz CL15 ram.

You can try disabling "Cool and Quiet" In your bios. That may help. Also, try creating an AGPM Power management kext for your GPU with the attached link. Just add your info into the app. Install the kext in OC/Kexts in your EFI.

Thanks for the advice! I did both things and ended up with a little better performance. I monitored AMD power management during the test, and the cpu appeared to be boosting as expected and everything looked normal. I think I'm just going to live with this anomaly for now as I'm not needing to squeeze every ounce of performance out of my build quite yet.
