The syntax is:

diskutil list
diskutil unmountDisk /dev/disk5
 sudo dd if=nameofdmg of=/dev/rdisk5 bs=1m
Replace rdisk5 with the device id of your USB. You need to be in the same directory as the dmg your copying.

Do you know if it works on Linux? Have never found a way to create a bootable usb drive without transmac or inside a virtual machine

Don't know linux, so you'd have to figure it out. I updated the video and it should play now
To be honest I haven't found a solution ,since years.
All the info on the net is misleading ,since most of the people think that it's a simple dmg to iso process .

I tried on windows a nice free utility in the past "Win32 Disk Imager", but didn't work. If dd works on Linux I'll post here :)
