Confirm that Virtualbox work well with Windows and Linux guest.
I am trying also create an OS X vm but not boot.
I tried also Vmware fusion 10.1.5, but all vms start but with black screen.
Also in fusion 10.1.5, OSX guest don't work.

You have to allow screen recording in 10.15.x

When I use the virtualbox, all the linux and windows host are enabled for 32bit only... What am I off here?

Please discard. I had to enable 'SVM' in the BIOs. Otherwise, virtualbox only shows up as 32 bit.

Hello all,
did somebody manage to run VM Ware 11.x ? And if so.. How you made it?
It should help to disable Hyper-V in OS X with:
nvram boot-args="cwae=2"
nvram SMTDisable=%01
from the Terminal in Recovery mode.
I have a lot of graphic issues while booting in recovery mode while booting from clover and could not test it, but it would be nice to know if all this the work is worth it :)
All the best,

Hi guys!

For anyone having the problem that "This computer doesn't have VT-X/AMD-v enabled. Enabling it in the BIOS is mandatory" when you already have SVM/AMD-v enabled, create the docker machines with the option "--virtualbox-no-vtx-check". For example:
Code: Select all
docker-machine create --virtualbox-no-vtx-check --driver virtualbox default
Worked for me :)

Edit: another option is to change one line in this file after the installation process of docker-toolbox.
File: '/Applications/Docker/Docker Quickstart Terminal.app/Contents/Resources/Scripts/start.sh'
Add "--virtualbox-no-vtx-check" after "create" on line 50.

I'm trying to install virtual box right now. I have AMD SVM support enabled in the bios - but when I try to install Virtual Box (either view brew cask or the downloaded installer, it fails.

Can you provide detail as to HOW you installed VirtualBox on your AMD system?

I tried to install both the latest version (6.1.6), and 5.2.40.

Again, SVM is enabled. what am I missing?
