You may have to boot with the adapter plugged in, especially in a USB 2 port.

No it's using the built into the motherboard adapter and not the plugged in ASUS Broadcom
I only have USB 3 ports.

yes with Vendor ID and Product ID that are of the Intel and not of the Broadcom

Its seeing the adapter but not seeing it as bluetooth. Can you disable onboard bluetooth and restart. I know I can plugin both my bluetooth adapters and it only sees the first one only.

Thing is I cannot disable bluetooth in the bios. I can disable wifi but haven't seen bluetooth.

there's no way to make point the bluetooth to one adapter and not the other?

Not that I know of, I have to unplug one of mine to get the other to work
