It's doable. You just have to generate the proper MLB/SystemSerialNumber. Additionally you've to re-generate the AGPMInjector and USBPorts kexts if you're using them but that should be all.
I was also initially using iMacPro1,1 before switching to MacPro7,1 and I didn't notice any issues.

Regarding Sleep, it seems to work best when disabling the USB controller of the CPU in the BIOS for good: AMD PBS -> FCH Common Options -> XCHI Controller 0 to disabled

@ckrueger99 It sure seems like I shouldn’t have to. I just got my replacement board back from ASRock yesterday (Saturday 4/18) so I will test it out in the next few days as I rebuild my system. For me the TB3 port is the main port for all I pan to do. So as long as this port is not compromised I am good for this build.

Short update: I've tested CMMChris' RadeonBoost.kext (https://www.hackintosh-forum.de/forum/t ... /?pageNo=1) yesterday and got about 25% improved Metal performance in Geekbench 5 out of my 5500 XT. It also provides AGPM injection at the same time. Although the thread is in German it contains a lot of interesting findings.

Hi, I've got a problem with second part of install. Install stopped on some panic info, but I can't discover what make that problem. If someone will be kind and can look in my EFI and config.plist i will be more than happy :)

Hi, just wanted to say I followed this thread and seem to have succesfull install on same motherboard with 3950x :) , I'm not sure if I need to fine tune CPU powermanagement because of more cores than 3900x though.
Had to install to SSD as I get system crash in disk utility with PM981 NVME.

Thanks OP :)

Nice build

Yes, some Samsung NVMe SSDs have issues and require at least a firmware upgrade as far as I know (don't have one).

The only thing bound to the number of cores is the VoodooTSCSyncAMD, but you can just edit the contained Info.plist and adjust to your thread count.

I think I spoke to soon :)

I created a new VoodooTSCSyncAMD for 32 thread and set "WhateverGreen.kext" in Kernel to "enabled=False" in config.plist and now I get the following notification at boot:

"Memory Modules Configured, More than the maximum supported memory is installed in your Mac."

And instant hard reset of PC if I click on about this mac.

Any Ideas ?

All is still working well though apart from notification and instant reboot.

EDIT - A bit more troubleshooting show setting 31 threads in VoodooTSCSync is good, but when disabling WhateverGreen I get memory error and instant reboot crash on "About this mac".
