Yes, Lilu needed. Only issue is that presently (maybe WEG will be 'fixed' to better work with Radeon VII/5700XT) WEG causes glitches. It seems to be an HDMI Audio problem: even if you are not using HDMI audio. I am using USB audio and had issues with the Radeon VII (this graphics card would _not_ work on the X570 Creator; in fact, I thought the card was bad. I tried on the Intel X390 GB mobo and it worked well except for random freezing occurring about 10 to 20 min into the boot. Some searching led to finding out about the WEG problem. Once I disabled WEG, the computer was stable.

BTW, I have 5700XT with power table adjustments on the GitHub site. GitHub now has latest v058 compiled this morning.

So WhatEverGreen is not needed for the 5700XT?

is Lilu still needed?

I have heard in some tutorials (Technoli, for example ) that he installs Catalina using a different graphics card and then once everything is up and running he just substates the 5700XT in the build and everything sis working fine. That is not an option for me unfortunately.

On x570 Aorus Xtreme there is no problem with WEG and Radeon VII. It works without a glitch or freeze. Maybe the seemingly bad ACPI of this Asrock motherboard is once again to blame... Maybe going on a trail riding a three legged horse isn't such a good idea. After all, it's common knowledge that Gigabyte and Asus are the brand to go when building hackintoshes. I wouldn't advise anybody, specially beginners, to go Asrock or MSI if their main purpose is hackintosh it and have mac OS as their main OS.

I originally was shopping around for a Radeon VII but honestly don't think video encoding / 3D rendering is in my future.. so I am leaning towards the 5700 XT. now if only someone can figure out a way for me to use my iMacPro as an external monitor so I can use it with my hackintosh, that would speed this process you immensely. BTW... thank you for all this information and good work.

Radeon VII here also, first installation of Catalina (followed a youtube vid) had a few glitches and freezes, redid it following the official opencore vanila guide and all glitches seem to have gone.

Tonight, GitHub updated for latest OC v058. which now has a Shutdown option from the OpenCanopy menu selection (press space bar to see Auxiliary items).

Also changed was adding the RadeonBooster kext. See details as written on GitHub. This update allows removal of all AGPMInjector kext files, simplifying maintenance of the config.plist with dGPU changes. Also, each dGPU SSDT was re-written to better work with RadeonBooster and provide injection of PP_PhmSoftPowerPlayTable in most of the files (injection is not included for X580 and 5500XT).

Has anybody tried to install High Sierra on their ASRock X570 Creator?

I'm really trying to get High Sierra installed this machine. I started with the Technolli Vanilla EFI and it works like a champ to install Catalina. But since I need CUDA, I have to have High Sierra. I've also tried the AMD_OC_Ryzen EFI on the github and while it's great and also gets me Catalina installed, I still get stuck at the very first install screen when trying to install High Sierra.

I am convinced that it has something to do with USB. The installer is very slow to go from the Apple loading window to the grey screen where I can see the mouse but can't move it. And then very slow to reveal the install screen which shows the macOS Utilities box, but also I can't use the mouse or keyboard. I've tried different ports and even put the mouse and keyboard on the same USB controller that the USB stick is using.

Further, if I let it sit a bit, it goes to sleep, which makes me think, the computer isn't locked up, but just not getting any input so it goes to sleep.

I've read with clover people needed to use a USB injector, but I don't see such a thing with OpenCore. Honestly, I would be happy with clover since I don't really plan on updating ever. Though I've dabbled around with it a bit and not had any luck. Just need a solid machine with Nvidia cards to run the AI and 3D stuff I need.

For clarity, I'm using a RX570 for the install, not an Nvidia card. Hoping that I would be able to get High Sierra installed and then install the graphics drivers and eventually swap out the GPU.

Anybody have any thoughts on how to get this done? Has anybody installed High Sierra on a X570 Creator? If so, can you share your EFI?

Full disclosure, I am also posting this question in the High Sierra thread with the hope that someone in one of these two threads might be able to help.

Thanks in advance.

First time posting on this thread, but I wanted to thank the excellent work of @CaseySJ and @iGPU of attempting to enable a native TB3 experience on an AMD hackintosh. I do not have the coding know how to make SSDT on my own or flash my own chips, so your help with this has been invaluable. I did want to clarify the comment below.
iGPU wrote: I've been quiet because I was trying to get substitute chips working... but I only succeeded in frying the TB section.

Since I fried the Creator mobo (well parts of it), and still had the whole build, I transferred all the parts to a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master. I few hours of tweaking and the EFI from this mobo were working just fine on that mobo. This mobo (at least v1.1) has a TB header, so a flashed Titan Ridge card works perfectly (but only in slot 5/6–––larges at edge) with no M.2 SSD present next to this slot.
iGPU are you saying that you have a flashed (NVM23) GB-Titan Ridge card in a rev 1.1 x570 aorus master w/working TB3 and hot-plug for native TB3 support in macOS? Or is it a rev1.0 board w/jumped TB3 connector from the GB-Titan Ridge card? If either of these, do you mind sharing your EFI on github like you did for the Creator.
