I just trying to install El Capitan on my HDD since some thread says it possible to have a better graphics performance for R7. I want to dual boot it with Windows 10. but I'm stuck at formatting the partition. ***Remember ElCapitan doesn't support APFS partition from HighSierra or latest***
my partition HDD scenario :
- C: Windows10 300 Gb
- D: ExFAT 500 Gb
- E: ElCapitan 50 Gb

====Having tried a few steps but still no result =====

#1 I just reformat my E: with Disk Utility from the El Capitan Installer but it says "Mediakit not enough disk space". I repeat it many times with different partition size but it has no effect.

#2 I reformat my E: by accessing Terminal from the Installer. (for example my E: is disk0s6).
diskutil list
diskutil unmountDisk force disk0s6
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/disk0s6 bs=1024 count=1024
diskutil partitionDisk disk0s6 GPT JHFS+ "Elements" 0g 👈🏻 after this step it fails...something like I must format a whole of the disk, not partition....maybe? it's a bad scenario, not worth it.

#3 I reformat my E: to HFS+ with Gparted... but no luck the format is readable to El Capitan Installer but it doesn't allow me to continue installing El Capitan while on choosing Disk partition, and it says the format disk is not extendable or some kind of it, I'm forgetting.

is there any alternative ways ??? Thanks.
The installer (Clover) from this thread 👉🏻 viewtopic.php?f=24&t=4619Post Merged
solved by reformat my partition with Gparted to HFS+, and then booting to El Capitan Installer and then repair the disk by following menu > Disk Utility > First Aid after that I enable journaling at the partition....bang! its working to continue the installation progress.
