Tutorials for the installation and post install.

I'm having issues upgrading to 10.13.2
After running the installer within 10.13.1 I rebooted from the USB drive...but the installer I used a few days ago to install it all fails to load.
My system is on a Nvme drive I guess the whole procedure would fail as the installer is on 10.12.0 and it odesn't see the Nvme drive
Can I at least disable the setup routine that is waiting for the Nvme drive to boot?

not sure if it's just me but it's easy to stop an installation
just get rid of the nvram.plist apple writes into the EFI and that's it...
:D I have time now to figure out the USB key from the system itself
Is there a mac software rather than Transmac to copy the image?
Thanks

I created the USB drive using the image you suggested.
BUT that USB drive doesn't boot on my machine.
It hungs.
BUT IF I boot using my clover EFI, the one on my main hard disk, and select the just created USB drive THEN it boots into the 10.13.1 installer.
Would that be alright to proceed with the 10.13.2 update?
It should, right?
Thanks.

The update fails.
When I run the script the first time and then select option 1 for Pre Install the script tries to copy something into a folder that doesn't exist:
MacOS disk/macOS Install Data/ a folder that contains "locked"
there are no folders containing the locked word in my macOS Install Data folder

The installer puts that folder there, the script checks if that folder exists and if it doesn't it doesn't allow preinstall to occur.

The installer puts it there during first install portion when you first download and run it.
