Hi @Shaneee, I managed to get Yosemite installed but I'm stuck. It boots fine in safe mode, but won't tread any further without the -x flag.

It should be noted that I manually modified AMD8000Controller.kext and AMDRadeonX4000.kext (fixed permissions and rebuilt cache) with my GPU's device ID to get proper detection (works in safe mode and the resolution is correct on the black screen) but I haven't managed to get Enoch installed so I'm booting off of the installer USB bootloader still. Also my LAN doesn't work.

I figure there's something small I'm missing out and hoping you can give me a hand.

Here's my specs
CPU: Athlon II X4 860K
GPU: R9 290
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H (rev. 3.1)
RAM: 16GB DDR3 @ 1333 Mhz
HDD: 500GB Seagate

I forgot to mention that the reason Enoch wasn't installed is because it refuses to boot when I install it and I'm forced to either reinstall (which I did) or just use the installer USB's bootloader.

I had this same problem. You tried npci0x2000 or 3000? GraphicsEnabler=Yes? Running the install in DVI or HDMI?

Thanks a lot, I'll give this a try.

I get an error that the boot is unable to be found. I can't recall the exact error but it's something like that. I'll install it again and get you the exact message soon.

When I try this, I get "the installation has failed" dialog at the end of the Enoch installer.

My monitor only has HDMI and when I try these nothing changes.

I should note that the default boot flags on the USB boot disk already includes npci=0x2000 .

I'm sorry @Shaneee but I can't seem to be able to recreate the boot error since Enoch refuses to install now...
